No Flange Channel Screed
Manufacturer's Specification
No Flange Channel Screeds (Patent Pending) are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and are .050 thick. No Flange Channel Screeds shall have a standard Clear Anodized finish. Mill and Alodine finishes as well as other factory finishes and custom paint orders are available. Refer to Finishes for details. For intersections, corners, and radius shapes see Channel Screed.
Flannery’s No Flange Channel Screeds will not trap moisture between the water barrier and the channel screed. All moisture is alleviated at the foundation weep screed. Alignment Splices are also available for Flannery’s No Flange Channel Screeds.
Install all No Flange Channel Screeds over building paper and lath material on vertical surfaces using full ten-foot lengths wherever possible. Insert Fastening Clip into the Clip Slot on the side of the No Flange Channel Screed. Fastening Clips are hinged into the Clip Slot at any location along the trim. Then attach the Fastening Clip to the framing with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. All screeds must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. All butt joints must be sealed. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trims.
