Manufacturer's Specification

Part A and Part B of the 2-Piece Expansion Reveal are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and are .050 thick. Expansion Reveals shall have a standard Clear Anodized finish. Mill and Alodine finishes as well as other factory finishes and custom paint orders are available. Refer to Finishes for details. For intersections, corners, and radius shapes, see Channel Screed.

Install all Expansion Reveals over building paper on vertical surfaces using full ten-foot lengths wherever possible. Attach Part A of the 2-Piece Expansion Reveal to the framing then install sealant over the top of the reveal flange. Part B is installed over Part A at the specified width while also fastening it to the framing. Attach Part A and Part B of the 2-Piece Expansion Reveal to the framing with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. All reveals must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. All nailing flanges must be covered with lath and all butt joints must be sealed. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trims.

Channel Alignment Splices
