Door and Window Drip
Manufacturer's Specification
The Door and Window Drip (WD) is standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and is .050 thick. The Door and Window Drip shall have a standard Clear Anodized finish. Mill and Alodine finishes as well as other factory finishes and custom paint orders are available. Refer to Finishes for details.
Install all Door and Window Drips over the window flashing. Attach Door and Window Drips to the framing with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. The next horizontal layer of building paper should overlap the nailing flange. All Door and Window Drips must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. All nailing flanges must be covered with lath and all butt joints must be sealed. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trims.
