Aluminum Shadow Mold
Manufacturer's Specification
Aluminum Drywall Shadow Molds are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and are .050 thick. Shadow Molds shall have a standard Mill finish. Clear Anodized and Alodine finishes as well as other factory finishes and custom paint orders are available. Refer to Finishes for details. For intersections and corners, see Plaster F Molds.
Attach Shadow Molds through the taping flange to the drywall and framing with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. All Shadow Molds must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trims.
Flannery also makes this trim out of steel. Click here to view our Steel Shadow Mold.
