Manufacturer's Specifications

Flannery offers our Drip Screed DS-875 with Vent Slots. All Vent Slots are 1/8” wide and 1” long. They are configured at 1½” on center lengthwise and ½” on center laterally. The Drips Screed has a single row of Vent Slots lengthwise, which provides approximately one-square inch of vented area per lineal foot.

Our Drip Screed with Vent must not be installed in areas where there is solid framing, since this may block some or possibly all of the vent slots. Attach Drip Screeds with Vent to the framing with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. To ease installation, Flannery offers Aluminum Alignment Splices for most of its Vent Screeds. All Drip Screeds with Vent must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. All nailing flanges must be covered with lath and all butt joints must be sealed. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trims. Please specify Flannery Product Code along with the phrase "with Vent" (i.e. DS 875 with Vent" or DS 875-V-875) when ordering the Drip Screed with Vent slots.
