Concealed Fastener Trim

Manufacturer's Specification

The Concealed Fastener Trim (C-Fast Trim or CFT) is a unique trim that allows the installer to hide all attachment fasteners for the trim without having to cover them with drywall mud and tape. The installer finishes the wall and then attaches the base of the C-Fast Trim (Part B) to the wall. Once all base pieces are in place, the installer snaps or taps (with rubber mallet) the cap of C-Fast Trim (Part A) onto the base. The cap completely covers the base piece and all fasteners from view. No drywall mud or tape is required in the installation of this trim.

Part A and Part B of the Concealed Fastener Trim are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and are .050 thick. The Concealed Fastener Trim comes in 10' lengths and shall have a standard Mill finish. Clear Anodized and Alodine finishes as well as other factory finishes and custom paint orders are available. Click on the Finishes link in the left margin for details.

Attach Part B of the Concealed Fastener Trim to the drywall and framing with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. Then slide or clip Part A onto Part B. All aluminum trims must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trims.

This product is also known in the industry as a 963-100-012.
