The Plain Edge Vent is a formed metal product, which is available in Aluminum, Copper, Galvanized Steel, and Stainless Steel. It serves as a continuous soffit vent for spaces enclosed by a soffit. It offers a “recessed” or reveal like ventilation between the soffit materials.

Attach the Plain Edge Vent to the framing members with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. The Plain Edge Vent is set over the soffit material (i.e. Plaster Cement, EIFS, Exterior Gypsum Board, etc.) and should cover the entire opening between them.

The Plain Edge Vent comes in 10' lengths and can be ordered in a variety of depths and widths (see grid below). Please specify the sizes needed on the order form below. Plain Edge Vent comes with 1” long, 1/8” wide vent slots (See Vent Graph below for Vent Area values).

This product is also known in the industry as the SPE and FEV.
