Flannery’s Smooth Finish E.I.F.S. (SFEV) Vent Panels are an excellent tool for ventilating soffits or attic spaces. Our SFEV Vent Panel can be utilized in both new construction and retrofits. They are a perfect solution for replacing rusted out or damaged vents since they can easily be inserted into the existing vent opening. The SFEV Vent Panel can be installed over existing soffit material and then fastened to the framing.

Vent Panels are ideal for drawing cooler air into the attic forcing warm or stale air to be exhausted through ridge, gable, and turbine vents. Many “do-it-yourself” stores sell aluminum vents that are as thin as a soda can which can easily be chewed through or damaged. All of Flannery’s Vent Panels have .050” thick walls, which makes them some of the sturdiest vent panels on the market. Since our Vent Panels contain vent slots (1” x 1/8”) and not holes, bees, wasps, and many other insects cannot fly or crawl through our slots.

While many screen vents and other steel vents will eventually rust out, Flannery’s Vent Panels will never rust out since they are manufactured from extruded aluminum. Flannery manufactures various lengths of the Smooth Finish E.I.F.S. Vent Panel. We also will make them to custom lengths if needed (10+ Vent Panel minimum order).

Manufacturers's Specification

Smooth Finish E.I.F.S. Vent Panels are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and are .050 thick. SFEV Vent Panels shall have a standard Mill Finish. To prevent oxidation spots, mill finished products must be covered with a primer and paint. Be sure to prevent primer and paint from clogging the vent slots. Clear Anodized and Alodine finishes as well as other factory finishes and custom paint orders are available. Refer to Finishes for details.

Install all Smooth Finish E.I.F.S. Vent Panels to the framing with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. SFEV Vent Panels should be inserted into the pre-cut ventilation area and attached to the joists. They can be attached to the framing through their vent slots. Two fasteners should be inserted into the same vent row at every joist. Vent Area and Reveal must be protected before plaster cement is applied to the soffit. Protection must not be removed until stucco finish is completed.
