Manufacturer's Specification

The Aluminum Weep (AW) is standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and is .050 thick. The Aluminum Weep shall have a standard Clear Anodized finish. Mill and Alodine finishes as well as other factory finishes and custom paint orders are available. Refer to Finishes for details.

Install all Aluminum Weeps using full ten-foot lengths wherever possible. Attach Aluminum Weeps to the framing with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. A horizontal layer of building paper (2 layers if installed over plywood sheathing) should overlap the 3½” nailing flange. All Aluminum Weeps must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. All nailing flanges must be covered with lath and all butt joints must be sealed. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trims.

1. Sealant is required at all butt joints.

2. Vinyl Connector Clips are required for Flannery's Aluminum Weep. 

3. Use Flannery's Vinyl Connector Clips to align moldings.
