About the Project:

Parkview Elementary School, part of Keller ISD, was built in 1980 and needed a complete campus overhaul. This project began in 2021 with the demolition of most of the original school to make way for the new buildings. When you arrive at the new and improved campus, you are greeted by many modern features, including floor-to-ceiling windows, soundproofing baffles, fun light fixtures, and suspended acoustical ceilings.

Suspended acoustical ceilings (often referred to as drop ceilings) are increasingly common on school campuses because they are not only aesthetically pleasing, but they also contribute to soundproofing high-traffic areas. To finish these ceilings, Flannery’s Acoustical Ceiling Cloud Edge provides the crisp, clean lines needed to give large educational spaces a polished, modern look.

The most notable of these ceiling features can be found in Parkview Elementary's new multi-purpose room, which serves as a cafeteria, a gym, and a theater. The suspended ceiling helps reduce echo and maintain comfortable sound levels, even during large student gatherings.
