Flannery’s Aluminum Furring Strip is designed to hold panels or composite siding away from the substrate in order to allow for the movement of air behind the panels. Since our furring strips are manufactured with aluminum, they will never rot or rust out from behind the wall system.
Product Specifications
Flannery’s Aluminum Furring Strip and Z-Fur Strip are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and have a .050” nominal wall thickness. Panel Trims come in 10′ lengths and shall have a standard Clear Anodized or Chem-Film Finish (for field priming & painting). Other factory finishes and custom paint orders are available.
