LED Ceiling Mold (LCM)
Flannery’s LED Drywall Ceiling Trim (LCM) creates a linear light reveal at the top of a vertical gypsum wall where it meets a gypsum board ceiling. The LED Ceiling Trim is installed with 5/8” thick gypsum board and is available in varying heights. Flannery’s LED Drywall Ceiling Trim comes with a frosted diffuser and allows for a ½” wide or smaller LED strip to be applied to the reveal’s side wall (LED’s and wiring are not provided).
LED Drywall Ceiling Trims are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and are .050” thick. Flannery’s LED Reveals come in 10′ lengths and shall have a standard Mill Finish for field priming and painting unless specified otherwise. Attach Part B of the LED Drywall Ceiling Trim through the taping flange to the gypsum ceiling and framing with screws where it meets the vertical wall. Part A is then laid over the edge of Part B and the vertical gypsum wall and then fastened through its flange to the framing with screws. All reveals and diffusers must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with blade lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trim. The frosted diffuser should be cut with a double edged blade to reduce cracking. Installer must consult with LED manufacturer for LED light strip installation and wiring procedures and methods.
Flannery offers pre-fabricated Inside and Outside Corners for intricate wall designs that utilize an LED reveal around corners. Pre-fabricated corners are mitered and then welded at the nailing flanges. Factory welded corners come with 6” legs, however custom leg lengths can be ordered.
In addition to pre-fabricated corners, Flannery also provides wiring notches in the side wall of the aluminum ceiling mold and behind the diffuser to allow for the wiring of the LED strips to return back to the power source. These notches are concealed once the diffuser is in place.
