Flannery’s LED Drywall F-Mold (LDF) trim creates a linear light reveal between drywall and dissimilar materials including door and window frames, ceilings, and floors (these could be a great option for LED base boards). LED Drywall F-Molds can be used to terminate drywall at the top or bottom of vertical walls. It can also be used with gypsum board ceilings. The LED Drywall F-Mold can be installed with either ½” or 5/8” thick gypsum board and has thinning mud flanges to allow the installer to finish it to drywall. Flannery’s LED Drywall F-Mold comes with a frosted diffuser and allows for a ½” wide or smaller LED strip to be applied to the aluminum reveal (LED’s and wiring are not provided).
Product Description
LED Drywall Reveals are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and are .050” thick. Flannery’s LED Reveals come in 10′ lengths and shall have a standard Mill Finish for field priming and painting unless specified otherwise. Clear Anodized and Chem-film finishes, as well as other factory finishes and custom paint orders are available. Attach LED Drywall F-Molds through the taping flange to the drywall and framing with nails, screws or other approved fastening methods. All reveals and diffusers must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with blade lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trim. The frosted diffuser should be cut with a double-edged blade to reduce cracking. Installer must consult with LED manufacturer for LED light strip installation and wiring procedures and methods.
Flannery offers prefabricated Inside and Outside Corners as well as 90° L-Intersections for intricate wall designs that utilize an LED reveal. Prefabricated corners and intersections are mitered and then welded at the nailing flanges. Factory welded intersections and corners come with 6” legs, however custom leg lengths can be ordered.
In addition to prefabricated corners, Flannery also provides wiring notches in the aluminum reveal behind the diffuser to allow for the wiring of the LED strips to return back to the power source. These notches are concealed once the diffuser is in place.
