Flannery’s Direct Application EIFS Vents are ventilated trims that can be inserted into an exterior insulation and finishing system (EIFS) soffit. With their beveled and thinning attachment flanges, Direct Application EIFS Vents can be installed over the EIFS substrate before the final finish is applied. Flannery offers Direct Application EIFS Vents in a number of depths for different soffit material thicknesses as well as a number of reveal widths for just the right amount of ventilation.
Manufacturer's Specifications
Flannery’s Direct Application EIFS Vents are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and have a .050” nominal wall thickness. All Vent Slots are 1/8” wide, 1” long and are configured at 1½” on center lengthwise and ½” on center laterally. Each row of Vent Slots lengthwise provides approximately one-square inch of vented area per lineal foot. Direct Application EIFS Vents come in 10′ lengths and shall have a standard Mill Finish (for field priming & painting). Attach Direct Application EIFS Vents to the framing with nails, screws, or other approved fastening methods. Flannery’s Aluminum Soffit Vents are also available with bug screen upon request. Most sizes of Flannery’s Direct Application EIFS Vents are available with Aluminum Alignment Splices to ease the installation process and create crisp clean butt joints.
Direct Application EIFS Vent Panels
Flannery’s Direct Application EIFS Vents can also be ordered as a Vent Panel. Many “do-it-yourself” stores sell aluminum vents that are as thin as a soda can which can easily be chewed through or damaged. All of Flannery’s Vent Panels have a minimum .050″ thick wall, which makes them some of the sturdiest vent panels on the market. Since Flannery’s Vent Panels contain vent slots (1″ x 1/8″) and not holes, bees, wasps, and many other insects cannot fly or crawl through the vent slots.
While many screen vents and other steel vents will eventually rust out, Flannery’s Vent Panels will never rust out since they are manufactured from extruded aluminum. Flannery manufactures various sizes and lengths of its Direct Application EIFS Vent Panels.
