Flannery’s Drywall Ceiling Cloud Edge (DCCE) trim attaches to the suspended drywall ceiling track to create a solid edge for a suspended drywall ceiling. The Cloud Edge trim reduces material and labor costs by eliminating the need for attaching additional drywall and corner beads to finish the edges of a suspended drywall ceiling. Flannery’s Drywall Cloud Edge comes in a variety of sizes to allow for multiple design effects. Each Acoustical Drywall Ceiling Cloud Edge trim comes with attachment clips and splices to ease its integration into the suspended ceiling system.
Manufacturer’s Specification
Flannery’s Aluminum Strata Cloud Trims are standard extruded aluminum alloy 6063 T5 and have a typical .060″ nominal wall thickness or greater. Strata Cloud Trims come in 10′ lengths and shall have a standard Mill Finish (for field priming and painting) or a factory Kynar “Cloud White” paint. Custom paint orders can be quoted, and samples prepared for approval. Additional finishes include anodizing, polishing, brushing, and “wood-grain” applications. Our Cloud Reveal trim as well as some of our other “cloud” trims can also be factory fabricated into radius and corners to ease into any of your perimeter ceiling designs. Each Drywall Ceiling Cloud Edge comes with attachment clips and splices to ease its integration into the suspended ceiling system.

Installation Details
Connect Drywall Ceiling Cloud Edge trims to the suspended ceiling grid using the Ceiling Grid Trim Clips included. Rotate the Ceiling Grid Trim Clip into the slots on the back of the Cloud Edge trim and tighten the lock screw. Then attach the Ceiling Grid Trim Clip to the suspended drywall ceiling grid. Insert the drywall in behind the Drywall Ceiling Cloud Trim’s thinning “mud” flange when attaching it to the suspended drywall ceiling grid.
Insert a fastener through the trim’s flange, drywall edge, and into the grid system. Apply the compound joint over the flange and feather accordingly. Use the included Ceiling Cloud Trim Splices to connect one piece of trim to the next for level and clean butt joints. All Cloud Edge Trims must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints.

All Cloud Edge trims must be cut accurately and installed with tight, neat joints. Manufacturer recommends that a carbide tip blade along with blade lubricant be used when cutting any aluminum trim.
Factory Corners
Flannery offers pre-fabricated Inside and Outside Corners for intricate ceiling designs that utilize the Drywall Ceiling Cloud Edge Trim. Pre-fabricated corners are factory mitered and then welded together to prevent separation during the installation of the edge trim. Factory welded corners come with 8” legs in each direction, however, custom leg lengths can be ordered.
Radius Ceiling Clouds
In addition to prefabricated corners, Flannery can also radius our Cloud Edge Trims to create unique “cloud” designs for suspended drywall ceilings. With Flannery’s in-house bending capabilities, circular, oval, and oblong ceiling clouds can be fabricated quickly. Our bending services can easily accomplish even tricky ceiling-to-column transitions. Every piece of factory-painted Cloud Trim that is radiused is protected with an easy-to-peel tape to protect the finish during the bending process.
